About me
Nicolas Caille, 28, is a French citizen, born and brought up in Paris. He holds a master’s degree in Computer Science from EISTI Grande Ecole (Cergy) and MSc in Mathematical Trading and Finance from Cass Business School – City University (London). He currently lives and works in London as a financial trader.

He was diagnosed with Type I Diabetes on the 4th of July 2003, his dependance day, and treated at the Hotel Dieu hospital in Paris.
On the very same day, he knew his life had change for ever. He held a private pilot license and he knew he would not be able to fly ever again. Life is unfair, you just have to live with it. He has always been attached to his freedom and never liked to be constrained in any form.
This idea of a South Pole expedition came to his mind after realizing that it was important to him to challenge himself and trying to achieve the impossible no matter what condition you suffer from and more importantly to never be letting yourself down.
He wants to show people recently diagnosed with the same condition that life has still a meaning after the terrible news and show other “healthy” people that it’s important to give oneself goals and to achieve them no matter how difficult it can look at first sight.
