After 5 years of Type I diabetes, I have decided to face a new challenge, a polar trek across the coldest, windiest, highest and driest continent on Earth, Antarctica. I plan to leave for Antarctica in November 2011, just a few weeks after turning 31 years old, and reach the South Pole some weeks later. The departure will be on the 14th of November 2011, as this is the World Diabetes Day.

This trek is aimed at raising money to support research against diabetes and to motivate and show recently diagnosed type I diabetics that life must go on.

Please come back soon on this page for more details on the expedition.
